The 2016 (and first) winner of the Anne Tuck Prize was announced last week at the Festival Of Quilts at the NEC, Birmingham. The winner is Jill Rose Brennan with her quilt "Finding Perspective". The quilt was juried into the Contemporary Quilt Group 2016 challenge "On The Edge".
The Anne Tuck Prize was setup in memory of Anne by her family. The prize is to be awarded for an outstanding entry into Contemporary Quilt’s annual Challenge by an exhibitor with under three years' membership of CQ, to be chosen at the time of selection for the CQ Challenge exhibition. The prize of £100 is to be used to enable the winner to attend a course or workshop to further their quilting skills.
