The 2018 winner of the Anne Tuck Prize has been announced 'Mary McIntosh'
The inspiration for her piece is: Everyone seems to have an opinion on the state of the world. In print, on-line, on-air. There is so much comment, analysis, views, thoughts, arguments, and all of it is contradictory. Many people are simply turning off the news. My piece reflects those feelings.
The Anne Tuck Prize was setup in memory of Anne by her family. The prize is to be awarded for an outstanding entry into Contemporary Quilt’s annual Challenge by an exhibitor with under three years' membership of CQ, to be chosen at the time of selection for the CQ Challenge exhibition. The prize of £100 is to be used to enable the winner to attend a course or workshop to further their quilting skills.
