Summer School

Summer School 2020

Sarah Showers, Summer School Co-ordinator, writes: It is with great regret that I have to inform you that the CQ Committee has decided that our Summer School this year will be cancelled. I am sure that you will recognise that the state of lockdown at the time of writing (May 2020) and incipient thoughts about possible easing are not likely to include residential workshops by September.

We are, however, transferring our booking to 2021, at the same venue, Missenden Abbey, and, with the same tutors, Hazel Ryder with Terry Donaldson, and Mary McIntosh. We will also be welcoming Debbie Lyndon who will offer a design, hand stitched landscape project. We are inviting those who have signed up for this year to either choose to have their deposit repaid or to move their booking to 2021, leaving their deposit in place. We will act on those choices as soon as we hear from members involved.

We hope that, by moving the event on a year, we will all have something to look forward to. Through our Facebook group, we invite members to discuss how they perceive the future Summer School in what will, I think, be a significantly changed world. I really do look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Meantime, stay safe and creatively active!
